HYRDROSEEDING

Hydroseeding is a method of seeding that is a homogeneous slurry of fertilizer, seed, wood fiber mulch, tackifier and water, which is spread uniformly and accurately through a high pressure pump system. The mixture is spread evenly on prepared seedbeds, which holds the soil from erosion until the seed germinates. Because the mulch holds many times its weight in water, seed germination is much more rapid than using other methods. Generally one application of hydroseeding replaces three applications of seed, fertilizer and mulch. Steep slopes along roadways and detention basins are very difficult to apply products using any other method due to size and poor accessibility.
